Orson De Witt is considered one of the best writers in American literature, and his work has appeared in The New York Times, the Washington Post, The New Yorker, and many other publications across the United States. He is also a distinguished professor of English at St. Olaf College in Northfield, Minnesota. His first book came out in 1986, and was followed by a number of more widely read books
He is especially known for his highly individual style of writing that reflects his personal philosophy on life. A former teacher at St. Olaf College, he currently teaches there as well as at Goshen College in Indiana.
